Ekrem Ekinci was born in 1949 in Karaman, Turkey. Having studied at Konya Maarif Koleji, he completed his high school education in Belfast Area High School, Maine, USA. After he received his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Robert College, Istanbul, in 1971, he finished his MSc. , and Ph.D.  in Chemical Engineering at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He became an associate professor in 1981 & a full professor in 1988 at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) where he had started his academic career as a research assistant in 1977. He assumed the responsibility for the Head of Department of Chemical Engineering between 1988 and 2000. He was also the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical & Metallurgical Engineering from 1997 to 2000. Between 1990 and 1992, he founded and Headed the Food Engineering Department, He was the Vice Rector of ITU between 2000 and 2002.
He also chaired Chemical Engineering Research Department in TUBITAK MAM (The Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey, Marmara Research Center) from 1992 to 1994, and was a member of TUBITAK’s Scientific Board between 1997 and 2005. He served as a member and president of the TUBITAK MAM Executive Board between 1998 and 2000.and 2000 and 2005, respectively.. From 1996 to 2006, he served as Chairman of Quality & Environment Committee of the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Journals of Fuel & Fuel Processing Technology, along with a number of national journals in his field. He is a member of the Institute of Energy, UK, the Turkish National Committee for Solid Waste Control & Processing, and a founding member of the Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution.
In 2001, he received the Science Award from “Turkish Society of Thermal Sciences and Technology”.He was the former President of Işık University, Istanbul (2008-2010). He is the founding Member of T-Dinamik Energy Investment Company and Chair of the Board.
Mustafa TIRIS was born in 1965 in Izmir, Turkey. He has received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering in 1987 from Istanbul Technical University; MSc. and Ph.D. from Ege University - Solar Energy Institute, in 1990 and 1992, respectively. He joined University of Leeds, Department of Fuel & Energy during his post-doctoral studies. He started working for TUBITAK Marmara Research Center (MRC), Department of Chemical Engineering, as researcher in 1990. He worked in the Department of Energy Systems of MRC as senior scientist (1994-1996), as assistant director in Energy Systems and Environmental Research Institute (1996-2000), as Director in Energy Systems and Environmental Research Institute (2000-2004).
He was the Institute Director of Energy Institute and acting director of Environment Institute (2004-2011). He also served as the Steering Committee Member of the Turkish Automotive Technology Platform, Member of the Turkish Energy Efficiency Coordination Committee, Member of the Committee on Research and Technology (CERT) of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Member of the NATO-CCMS Committee and Alternate Member of the NATO-SPS. He moved to the private sector in 2011 and currently he is the General Manager and Member of the Board of T-Dinamik Energy Investment Company.
Gokhan TELLI was born in 1989, graduated from Yildiz Technical University faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering. In his career, his aim was always to explore and engage the world of renewable energy forms.
Gokhan has been working for Tegnatia as a Project Engineer from 2013.
Nikos has graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with a Civil Engineer degree and obtained his Project Management MSc from UCL, London. Before Turkey for 3 years he has been a member of Egnatia’s project teams that have successfully installed large solar projects in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria. He has been coordinating the solar installations in Turkey since 2013.
Rifat Öcal graduated from Middle East Technical University with Physics degree and obtained MSc. degree from Istanbul Technical University Energy Institude. He worked as project engineer in Center for Energy, Environment and Economy, Ozyegin University in severeal projects focusing on reneweable energy and energy efficiency applications. During this period, he worked as Visiting Researcher in Georgia Institude of Technology in 2014. He has been working in Tegnatia as project engineer since 2015.
